Background & Expertise

A Madison Avenue ad agency veteran, Padi received a journalism degree from New York University, prior to moving to Northern California. She spent several years as the Public Relations Director of St. Joseph Health System, where she worked in public relations and fund development and was instrumental in helping the hospital raise millions of dollars to build their new facility in 1978.

Launching her own ad agency in 1979, Padi served such clients as Hewlett Packard, the New York Times, Pac Bell, and hundreds of small local companies and non-profit organizations such as the YWCA, Family Service Agency and Goodwill. During the time she ran her own award-winning agency, she co-founded and served on the board of directors of National Bank of the Redwoods, where she led their marketing and branding for 20 years. The bank was bought out by Westamerica Bank in 2005 for one of the highest multiples of book value in the past 25 years due to the strength of their balance sheet and brand.

During this period, Padi also launched an international speaking and training career, sharing her marketing, communication and creativity expertise with corporate and association audiences for 10 years. She served clients such as Clorox, FTD Florists International, Promotional Products International, Meeting Planners International, among others. She was president of the National Speakers Association, northern California chapter, where her innovative marketing strategies built the organization into the largest chapter of NSA world-wide. In 1996, she co-authored "Living Your Life Out Loud—how to increase your creativity and unleash your joy", a self help book published by Simon & Schuster and featured by three national book clubs upon its release.

She was a senior vice president and Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Exchange Bank for 4 years, leading the bank through a new branding program, new logo and web site, until her departure in January 2009 when she re-launched her marketing and communications consulting practice.
